Description et caractéristiques Lupine Wilma 6
Lupine Wilma 6:
Wilma isnt our most popular lamp for no reason.
There is a simple answer to the frequently asked question: "Which lamp is the right one for me-"
With a measured light output of 1500 lumens and its light weight, Wilma is our all-rounder.
An integral part of the Wilma and also the Betty lamp concept is the possibility to participate in further progress of LED technology by means of upgrades you can install yourself.
So Wilma is not only characterized by its wide range of application but also by its high sustainability.
Intended use:
We always develop lamps with the maximum possible light output from a technical point of view, but still our Wilma is available in three versions with different lumens and beam angles, because for real-life application, not only the light output is of significance but also the light distribution.
We therefore always use the most efficient LED technology or in some cases may even combine several LED types with our purpose-developed lenses.
Simply speaking, the 1500 lumens version offers the biggest amount of light, but it is distributed over a wider area.
The terrain and the application, therefore, determine the right choice.
A general rule for those who are undecided: Each Wilma turns night into day.
The different versions merely provide the possibility to choose the one that is suited best for the preferred terrain

Technology:
Lens system:
Perfectly matched
- We use an optical system specifically developed by Lupine instead of off-the-shelf components in Wilma, as this is the only way of ensuring a perfect match with the LEDs used.
- We are constantly developing new solutions with the famous OEC development centre headed by Dr. Timinger, as well as UPT Optik.
Perfect light bundling
- The high-efficiency thin-layer LEDs that we use scatter light across a wide and uncontrolled area; only the lenses we have developed are able to direct the light - all of it - to where you need it.
- To ensure optimum lighting both near and far, Wilma uses several individual lenses arranged in a perfectly matched system.
Minimum loss
- We have cut loss down to a minimum by using high-precision plastic optics in high-purity polycarbonate; our optics are manufactured in a precision injection moulding process that is accurate down to a few micrometres, less than a tenth of hair thickness.
- Our lenses and reflectors have set the standard for most other manufacturers.
LED
Hand-picked:
- Minimal parameter tolerances are unavoidable when manufacturing today-s high-power LEDs, so Lupine selects all of its LEDs by colour value and intensity within narrow margins of tolerance.
- Our exacting selection process ensures even brightness especially in multi-LED systems such as Wilma, as this plays a decisive role in the system-s performance.
Maximum lumen yield
- Lupine uses Cree XP-G LEDs with what is currently the highest lumen yield in this design format - LEDs that also excel in efficiency and long life.
Sustainability
- Lupine faces a very specific challenge of following the rapid advances in LED technology on the one hand, while providing a sustainable product on the other.
- A great deal of development effort has gone into developing a completely modular system at Lupine using standardised components so as to make simple upgrading possible, giving you the opportunity to keep with the times without having to buy a whole new product.
The more the better
- Only Lupine installs this many LEDs in such as small casing.
- We use manufacturing techniques in Wilma that are impossible using mass production; careful final assembly by hand allows any assembly - however complex - while keeping the overall design as compact as possible.
Optimised colour temperature
- The colour temperature we use in our lamps lies in a frequency range optimised for the human eye - 6200K, or pure white, a daylight-like white that optimises night vision.
- Every split second counts as you speed through the night, and neutral colour perception is absolutely crucial in recognising obstacles, slippery leaves on the ground and wet surfaces ahead.
