Description:

For the first time, a wheel set has been designed integrating a specific tyre. This new approach opens a new era in wheel development. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ksyrium and to improve its responsiveness even further Mavic developed its wheel and tyre technologies together: ISM3D and asymetrical rims, dual compound fast-rolling racing tyre, Isopulse spoke lacing.

FTS-L - FTS-L: Force Transfer System Light: The reinforcement of the key transmission components.

GripLINK - Dual Compound: The choice of a rubber compound is a subtle compromise between grip and abrasion resistance. The harder the compound, the better the abrasion resistance. On the contrary, the softer the compound, the better the grip. Dual Compound uses two different compounds to improve the grip when cornering (softer compound on the shoulders) while limiting the abrasion (harder compound in the centre).

ISM - Inter Spoke Milling: Lighter rim and equal rigidity is the magic equation to reduce inertia and to free extra power for climbing. A Mavic patented exclusive concept (US 6 402 256).

ISM3D - Inter Spoke Milling 3 Dimensions: ISM3D pushes the envelope of ISM one step further by not only machining the lower bridge of the rim between each spoke holes, but also its sidewalls. Machined sidewalls save even more weight and inertia to boost your acceleration and enhance climbing performance.

Isopulse: This spoke lacing design and wheel building brings better wheel stability and a crystal clear transmission of energy thanks to a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.

Maxtal: Exclusive to Mavic. An aluminum alloy that is 30% more resistant than a 6106 alloy, for lighter and stronger rims.

PowerLINK - Very High 290TPI: The casing density is expressed in TPI (Threads Per Inch). The higher the casing density, the more responsive the tyre

ProtekLINK - Strong Polycotton / Kevlar: The material used for the breaker determines the level of protection. Polycotton / Kevlar offers a strong protection. Nylon is even stronger but a bit heavier.

QRM+ - Qualité de Roulements Mavic + (Mavic bearings quality +): Our most demanding level. Those cartridge bearings are of course double sealled with C3 internal clearance, and toped with a micro-adjustability system, allowing you to quickly adjust your wheels according to performance goals: precision ""free"" adjustment for maximum fluidity, or perfect high precision setting for all-weather rides.

SUP - Soudé Usiné Process: A welded and milled rim joint is extremely strong, eliminates shuddering when braking, and offers superior wheel balance.

UB Control - Usiné Brut Control: The braking surfaces are milled to improve braking friction and eliminate shuddering.

Zicral: A highly resistant and and lightweight aluminum alloy for spokes.
