Product description Five ten Freerider

Versatile, comfortable and highly durable, adidas’ Five Ten Freerider are ideal mountain bike shoes for use in a variety of competitions and environments. Inspired by the softness and style of BMX products, the Freerider has a number of features designed for maximum pedaling even in the toughest terrains.

The Freerider’s molded cupsole incorporates Five Ten´s patented Stealth® S1™ technology, offering a flat profile with high abrasion-resistant rubber and a Classic Dotty™ pattern that offers good grip both on the ground and against the pedals. The midsole offers competitive-level responsiveness and adjusts to the shape of your foot thanks to a dual density insole.

The high level of comfort of the Freerider is achieved thanks to a textile mesh woven in Action Leather grid pattern, made of polyester and suede leather, which achieves a high level of comfort without losing its narrow fit. Sticks like gum!

Migrating from XC to Enduro, I decided to leave the clip and go to flat to improve technique. These shoes were the best purchases I made in this migration! The rubber sticks like gum to the pedals' pins, giving me good safety on descents, jumps, drops, and technical climbs. I wear 43 BR, 11.5 USA, 11 UK, and the size 46 US was perfect. My foot is medium to thin. It's not very fair (like a football boot, for example), but it's not too loose either. Anyway, comfortable and firm would be the ideal description. For my case, which has a swelling in one of the nerves between the toes, it's the fit I needed, with a little space that allows me to at least wiggle my toes, but without slacking. The sneakers are very comfortable, and the sole is firm enough to put strength on the climbs. For longer (+ 60km) style XC pedals, I don't know if it would be ideal for efficiency, but for enduro and downhill it's perfect.

It is the second pair that I buy these shoes through bike inn, because the quality and service are excellent. The shoes are very comfortable to use daily and not to mention the grip they have when I ride my bike with platform pedals, they have made me completely abandon the automatic pedals. I would definitely buy them again.
