BBB Tithon Road Helmet

Our dedication has resulted in a new sprint helmet called the Tithon, offering superb aerodynamics in combination with great ventilation. The teams started calling it “free speed”. BBB has spent a year finetuning the balance between low drag and maximum ventilation for the Tithon helmet. This special design is developed in cooperation with the Technical University of Delft and was thoroughly tested in the windtunnel. From the start of the design process our goal was to find the perfect balance between low drag and excellent ventilation. It’s now our favored helmet on high speed days without feeling like your head is in a microwave. What else do you need as a superfast sprinter? The unique design of the Tithon combines an aerodynamic surface with an enormous amount of ventilation through the two big vents in the front of the helmet. This way you maintain speed, while keeping your head cool.

- Dial closure, can be adjusted with one hand. The fully flexible silicone system wraps around the shape of your head. To fit your head even better the system is also adjustable in height.
- Special treatment which enhances moisture transport, to keep you dry.
- When you are cycling intensive, you produce a lot of heat. Overheating your body will reduce your performance. Because of the large surface of your head, up to 40% of body heat can be lost by your head. Wearing a helmet normally is bad for ventilation. That’s why we invented the Airflow Cooling System (ACS) for our Icarus helmet. Due to the special design of not only the foam shape, but also the padding, the air pulled in and channeled to pass around your head. This guarantees optimum heat control of your head.
