They consist of bearings pressed into threaded cups, which are then threaded into the frame.
Those bearings comprise either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings.
Super round, super smooth CeramicSpeed balls spin on steel races hardened on both.
The coated version has a metallic coating placed on the races, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in longer life and lower resistance.
