Product description Columbus Dry Fork Bag 3.5L

Dry bag to attach on the bike fork using the provided cage. Light and with adjustable volume thanks to its roll top closure (up to 3,5l l.) The cage is fixed to the fork thanks to the plastic cable ties or the stainless clamps. The bag is attached to the cage by 2 adjustable straps. You can evacuate the air thanks to its air realease button. This product has been manufactured with Recicled materials

The bags are a good compromise in size, the fork can be loaded without taking up too much space (I recommend mounting them rotated slightly forward so as not to risk hitting them with your foot in tight turns and maneuvers. The metal collar kit holds well, the cages in plastic are sturdy, the system does not bend

Superior product

I've had this for almost a Yr now and it's been absolutely solid as a rock even after dirt rides. The cage t itself is indestructible and the attachment jubilee clips to hold it to the fork are extraordinarily reliable. However if you do damage a jubilee clip, the exact size is very difficult to get. The set álso comes with cable ties but it's best to avoid using these as i found that the cage can slip back towards the rider so best to use only the jubilee clips with the foam foam provided. I'd also recommend leaving them in place permanently as putting them on initially is awkward in terms of aligning, plus it puts wear on the jubilee clip. The bags are extremely high quality and have a valve for releasing air but they are extremely small and will really only work for clothes or a very compact sleeping bag. Topeak have a similar product which I've tried and it's atrocious and it literally cannot be tightened. My advice get a 5 or 6 liter altura dry bag to go with the cage. The altura bag comes with velcro straps but any strap will do I'm doing this review mainly for the customer who asked can it be removed after riding. Basically the cage stays put permanently and the bag is removed post ride

The provided tying options are very secure. The zip ties are very long so I don't think there’s a fork too thick for them.

Can the cage be screwed onto a fork with a carbon eyelet?

Yes, if there is a carbon eyelet, you can. However, with the clamps that come with it or with the typical serrated clamps, protecting the fork with the rubber guards, it works perfectly and resists rough trails.

Fastening with an eyelet is insufficiently strong. Easy to solve by using the supplied mounting brackets.

Good afternoon, Yes, it can be fixed as long as the frame/fork area is well protected with rubber. For this purpose, it is not necessary to make a great tightening.
