The benchmark in puncture protection:
- Vectran is a synthetically manufactured high-tech fibre from a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran is a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran is spun from the melted liquid polymer Vectra and processed further to a multi-strand thread. Spider silk like Vectran™ has an enormous tear resistance at a very low weight: Exactly the right properties to process into a premium Continental bicycle tyre as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than the comparable nylon breaker. Vectran Breaker does not adversely affect the rolling resistance.
DuraSkin:
To roll with the punches:
- Tyres with DuraSkin sidewall protection have to be able to roll with the punches. They are used under the harshest conditions. Excellent tire for all sun and rain. After almost 6 months and 3000km, I only have good things to say about these tires, whether in dry weather or in the middle of winter. For the speeds I travel, I never felt a lack of grip from these tires. But, I don't drive at high speeds, and even less so in the rain.

These tyres are my fourth set. They are an amazingly versatile tyre. Mine get used for everything including coast-to-coast rides across northern England, other long distance trips, so-called "gravel" rides, normal road rides on Tarmac, and even Time Trials with my local club. Cornering is safe, likewise making the most of the brakes. They are very easy to fit without resorting to tyre levers.

I had a terrible experience with the BIKEINN store, I placed an order on December 3 and said it would arrive on the 15th of that same month. We are on February 25 and until today the order has not arrived, I have tried to communicate in more than 7 occasions with the store and they do not give me a specific answer, only evasive saying that I consult the postal operator of my country, something I do and they have not answered anything. In general terms these people do not offer you any type of purchase protection or have any interest in their shipments if they do not arrive. I do not wish this to anyone !!!! Please do not buy in this application !!!
