Versatile, comfortable, and highly durable, the adidas Five Ten Freerider are ideal mountain bike shoes for use in a variety of competitions and environments. Inspired by the softness and style of BMX products, the Freerider have several features designed for maximum pedaling even in the toughest terrains.
The Freerider’s molded cupsole incorporates Five Ten´s patented Stealth® S1™ technology, offering a flat profile with high abrasion-resistant rubber and a Classic Dotty™ pattern that offers good grip both on the ground and against the pedals. The midsole offers competitive-level responsiveness and adjusts to the shape of your foot thanks to a dual-density insole.
The high level of comfort of the Freerider is achieved thanks to a textile mesh woven in Action Leather grid pattern, made of polyester and suede, which achieves a high level of comfort without losing its narrow fit. A lace closure on the instep guarantees an adaptable, efficient grip in all-terrain conditions.

I was looking for a pair that i can feel the pedals but still have strong sole and these do that. I really like the size (you should try them on first as the sizing is different to most others) but this is an advantage as they equate to half sizing in some shoes so that's great for extra room, and i have wide feet for a women which helps my feet get less fatigue. As an extra if you want harder insoles the specialized site has great ones which have varied arch heights. Good shoes recommend.

The shoes are great and they seem to be of very good quality. In my case, I normally wear a 39 and seeing the comments that they grate big, I ordered a 40 and they are huge. I will order my size since they seem to be of very good quality.

For a perfect buy and forget it shoe that takes a beating these are them. My last set lasted almost 5 years of riding. IMO they are the perfect flat shoe for MTB, amazing grip, nice and wide (perfect for fat feet) unlike many other bike shoes which tend to be really narrow, good for hiking and super comfy. Getting harder to find but 10/10 would recommend these over any other shoe out there.

Shoes recommendable, however, it should be borne in mind that Fiveten uses a Adidas size, i.e. at 28cm you need to take size 45 1/3.
