Industrias Galfer decided to join their fixed brake discs to the Center-Lock system in a safe and efficient manner to offer the Disc Wave® in a single piece suitable for the particular locking system launched by Shimano some years ago that is becoming widespread. The Center-Lock disc includes a washer and a ring to fix the disc to the rim. The Center-Lock piece is made from high-quality, high-resistance and low weight machined aluminum.
- GALFER Disc Wave® are made of laser-cut stainless steel and undergo several processes as hardening, black painting with cataphoresis, final grinding and roughening treatment, all of which offer a great finish and improve the braking performance. GALFER applies the same quality processes and controls as in the MotoGP or WSBK brake discs manufacturing.
- Several road racers, including Italian Alessandro Vanotti (former professional and member of the Astana team from 2013 to 2017), have tested the new system with very satisfactory results.

The best brake modulation of any high end Shimano rotor I have tried (Dura Ace and XTR) for half the price. Make sure you have a brake pad spreader tool to make room as they are a tight fit.

Very good brake discs, the best I have tried. With the lowest weight on the market for 160mm, they barely weigh 95 grams on the scale without the tightening nuts which are 12 grams so a little heavier than the original ones, they brake much better than the dura ace or the SRAM centerline you really feel the bite, in fact be a little careful at the beginning when braking a little hard so as not to block the wheel. I didn't feel the need to break them in. They are not noisy. I highly recommend.

For tightening I use the nut supplied with the wheels and not this Galfer one. So no problem if you use the Shimano one. Of course, if the thread is damaged, it is essential that the nut is tightened tightly

I think you could use the one that Galfer sends you with the album, they match perfectly. I just don´t think you can use it if your wheel is Campagnolo and works on a system called AFS. In this specific case you have to use what came originally on the wheel for the system to work. Save your Shimano thread for future discs from this same brand. Use the ones that Galfer sends in the kit.

I have been using them for over 1 year on bdc and I can say that they are efficient, reliable and have the best price-weight-performance ratio having never had any problems.

The recommendation for road and gravel comes from the slightly lighter construction and therefore less friction surface. I also use these brake discs on gravel, racing and cyclocross or on the rear of the MTB.

Yes, they are recommended for use on road and gravel bikes. It is not advisable to use it during sudden braking, such as MTB and Downhill. For these more extreme uses there are other lines of discs from the Galfer brand.

You mentioned that they weigh 127g with a lockring but Galfer states on their website that the disc rotor in 160mm only weighs 98g. Is that lockring that heavy?
