Edge 1030 is a technological device that will help you add kilometers with your bike. Using GPS you can select from the variety of routes available the one that best suits your needs. The Garmin Conect community works with routes loaded by cyclists and all options are presented to present you the most popular routes.
Equipped with navigation tools, you can take into account several indicators to enhance your performance and you will have several signs to keep you safe on both wheels. One of the pre-installed programs is Garmin Map, a system that alerts about closed curves as well as additional data about some (height of terrains or places of interest).
The autonomy of this device is up to 20 hours and to extend the time you can adapt an external battery of the brand to get longer. Between Edge 1030 devices, you have the opportunity to send messages between peers, becoming a useful tool to report unexpected events as well as answering messages and calls, through predetermined texts. With Training Peaks, you will set up a training session and follow the instructions exactly. Opening a user account, you get an analysis of your metrics.

The first weeks of using the Garmin 1030 have passed. Not only did it live up to expectations, but also surpassed them. Large, easy-to-read screen that is easy to read on the go. The battery really lasts a long time. So far, the longest daytime Ride was 14 hours with a connected phone, sensors, screen backlight in auto mode. At the finish line, about 30% of the charge remained. The disadvantages include the cost of the computer, as well as freezes when connected / disconnected to the computer and startup / shutdown. I recommend buying if you need an advanced bike computer and navigation.

Selected on the price, which was attractive. Shipment would be in 1 week, but took almost 3 weeks! With the registration of the Garmin on Connect, things are not going well, synchronizing with the iPhone is causing problems, do not know yet whether it is the new Garmin, but with previous copies everything went well once, but not now ...

The purchase went well. The product as expected for a top of the range, with all functions and some more, good size and excellent quality. The caveat goes to the instructions. Just bring a quick guide. A complete guide or a link to the guide is missing. With so many functions / options and not being "user frindly" it took a week to deal with almost everything.
