Hello! Two swimming modes are available: in the pool or in open water. In the first case it will use the internal accelerometer to count lengths (and therefore distance) and in the second case it is the GPS that will measure the distance. The watch´s internal accelerometer is capable of counting the number of strokes. And not only that, it can also identify when you have reached the end of the street and make the turn to face another length. Overall it is an excellent watch for swimming. Thanks for your question!
