I have mounted new hoses from snimano and it works perfectly for shimano too, although they sell it for sram. But it works just as well for shimano. I recommend that you loosen the screw that goes where the yellow lock is so that you don't crush the hose as it makes a lot of force. I recommend it. Once used and amortized.

The sheaths are not always straight, they are difficult to handle once placed in the tool. This sometimes makes inserting the needles a bit more complicated. Nevertheless, I am happy with the purchase!

Bought this for my sram brakes which need to be screwed in. Also has a reversible head for shimano and a spare head. Handy little tool which does the job well, shouldn't need to use it often so should last a lifetime. Invaluable piece of kit for what I wanted to do
