With a profile specifically designed for very high-cadence riding & higher pressure, our Competition last features a more curved profile than the Sport last. The main differences include increased toe pitch & heel lift, a tighter heel & a slightly wider ball girth to allow the foot to expand under high pedaling pressures. The wide version offers 15mm of additional volume at the ball of the foot over the standard width last.

Second pair of LAKE shoes. I have wide feet. For decades I had to ride very expensive custom shoes, then I discovered Lake. Good looking quality build, very stiff carbon soles. I wish they built the toes with a scuff protector and I find the insoles inadequace and supply my own. For the price, they are cool looking, great fitting and wonderfully performing shoes. I especially like the cleat platform that allows me great flexibility in when I mount my cleats.
