What do I have to look for to know if it is compatible with a shoe brake? If you could confirm if this model is compatible or if you could suggest another one regardless of the brand.

This works with rim break systems. Great rim. Put them on a 1990 Merckx.

Yes, this rim is comparible with all types of rim brakes: caliper, side pull, center pull, Min-V, cantilever, etc. One of the best rims ever made, in my opinion; I have them on at least six of the bikes in my collection.

Hello, in your technical sheet, the mavic open pro c are marked "tubulars" - but the "C" indicates "clincher" = tire. I need tire rims - are these the right rims? Thank you in advance! K

I built up some wheels with these rims and can confirm that these are clinchers. If you are running tyres these are the right ones for you.

Hello The Mavic open pro C (Clincher) rim is for clincher. The tubular rim is the Mavic open pro T (tubular).
