- An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tires. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.
Wide trail:
- Wide Trail (WT) construction optimizes the tire’s tread layout and profile on today’s modern, wider rims. Traditional tires are designed around older, narrower rims and can create an overly square tire profile, leading to less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for a 35mm inner rim width but are proven to work over a range from 30-35mm inner rim widths, depending on the rider’s preference.
Maxxis Wide Trail XC tires are optimized for use with 30mm internal width rims, but they will perform well on rims as narrow as 25mm. Maxxis does not recommend rims wider than 30mm or narrower than 25mm

They are my favorites for dry terrain. A trick with the Ikon to avoid competing is to buy the cheapest ones, which are the ones with only 1 type of rubber, the hardest, which lasts longer. There is a rigid and folding ring like the one I bought.

Great tire! It's not tubeless, the tubeless version has a TR written on the side. Some people say you can use it, but it's not recommended by the factory. I bought it knowing this. Tire load capacity is 90kgs. I weigh more and I'm using it normally.

Perfect product! If it's because the previous tire is wire but the Kevlar tire is another world, the bike is softer, more responsive and lighter, which I haven't even put tubeless on yet. Can anyone tell me how the tire behaved without the tube?
