This is not the first time I have taken this combination: Racing Ray forward and Racing Ralph backward. For XC rides this is what you need. The tires are smooth, soft, hold well in turns, and roll well. There are two disadvantages: 1 - they are old, manufactured in 2017 and 2018, which, however, did not particularly affect their properties (they did not become stiff, did not crack, they cling to the polished stainless steel with a compound); 2 - they are a bit narrow. Maxxis Icon 2.2 is 3mm wider than the 2.25! That's why only 4 stars. Otherwise these are great tires! Especially at this price.
