This tensioner is missing a spring to adjust the tension. Manually adjusting the tension isn't great for many applications.

I used this item not for purpose icts original goal was to replace derailleur in a single speed setup. The chain tensioner won't screw Directly on the derailleur mounting hole is your frame (screw diameter too small). Two solutions: use a short derailleur mounting screw goal required slight grinding of the mounting hole of the chain tensioner. Gold use has long original derailleur mounting screw with a spacer. Furthermore, the jockey wheel HAS quite a large diameter That required to wear long chain to not interfere whith rear cog (17t for me) When mounted on the derailleur mount hole. Otherwise, a nice product for someone using it for icts original purpose, but not in a singlespeed setup was vertical dropout.

This chain tensioner is good, but the mount is not for the coaster-type brakes, That is When You pedal backwards to brake. Unfortunately, this information is not given in the text, you'll have to read in the manual. If the tensioner had been fitted with a spring mount instead, it would fit all types of single-speed bikes.
