Very functional. Allows charging the battery without having to be affixed to the bike frame. In fact, the mistake is in the design, where the connector should have been on the battery housing, and not on the bike's frame.

I had three Shimano steps chargers that didn’t work without adapter. I was so happy to found it! It workd perfectly!!!

Adaptor should AUTOMATICALLY-be included with charger but isn’t. Difficult to find. So glad to have received this one.

If I had known that I needed an adaptor to charge the battery off the bike I would have stayed with a Focus Jam2 after all if you are paying 8000 New Zealand dollars for a bike you would expect that an adaptor was included, Not a good look GT
