Very good quality-price brakes

I bought these brakes for the quality of the shimano brand and not to go up a lot in price to higher ranges. I received them in two days with collection at the point closest to my home. It arrived very well packed and everything was perfect. I had never bought in this store and without hesitation I will do it again when I need something for my bike.

The product is robust and it is great. I took them to replace the old Shimano Cantilever Exage 300 LX from the 90s. I preferred these (more expensive) to the Alivio BR-T4000 as I have read on various reviews that have an independent movement system of the brake rod around the installation pin to the fork. Not being very experienced, I thought that if the support pins had been shorter I would have had problems locking the screw on the rotation joint and therefore slowed the movement of the brake rods of the V-Brake. The supports integral with the fork were shorter but the fixing screw and washer strike against the cylinder / ciscunetto of the brake rod and the movement is perfect. Powerful braking and ... in case of emergency and instinctive braking you have to pay attention to the locking of the wheel ... especially the front. Excellent combination with the brake lever and 3 fingers because of their force of action. The quality of the rubber of the cleats is high and you can feel the slightest centering defect of the wheel. Adjusting the centering of the V-Brake is very simple with the two adjustment screws. The only care (and defect if you want to define it like this) are the adjustment screws which are made of a bit soft material and you have to handle them with care. As for the shipping, I chose the cheapest one and it was a bit long, but that's okay so as not to spend 1/3 more than the price for shipping alone.

Good manufacturing quality, the stirrups pivot on an axis which remains fixed relative to the cleats: no wear of the cleats and better guidance than low-end stirrups. Bite and progressiveness.
