SLX - for those who listen to the call of the mountain bike
- Like the DEORE XT, the new SLX M7100 also features Shimano innovations such as the innovative 12v cassette with MICRO SPLINE system with 10-45 or 10-51 developments, connecting rods 1x12 or 2x12, a 12v chain specific to the SLX, 2 or 4 piston disc brakes, fully adjustable ISPEC-EV controls, bushings, derailleur and rear derailleur optimized for 12v, bringing premium technologies closer to those who discover authentic cycling of Mountain.
- Brakes: SLX brake calipers are available in a 2-piston version specific to XC and in a 4-piston version for Trail / Enduro. The 2-piston shares the same design as the previous version, which means that the resin brake pads for SLX G02S / J02A and the G04S / J04C metal pads are compatible, while the 4-piston version is completely new, inspired by the XTR M9100, with which it shares the N03A (resin) and D03S (metal) pads. They are also compatible with N03A and N04C pickups.
- The SLX brake levers work with both XC and Trail / Enduro calipers and are equipped with Shimano´s SERVO WAVE system for faster coupling, improved power and faster response. The levers now come in two positions on the handlebar for a stiffer braking sensation. It also has a dial that allows easy brake adjustment while driving.
- The brake kit for XC (BR-M7100-BL-M7100) with discs (160 mm SM-RT70) and pads weighs 425 g and the Enduro brake kit (BR-M7120-BL-M7100) weighs 444 g, including discs and pills.

Technology:
- When a SERVOWAVE brake lever is pulled, the initial pad travel is fast, so only a slight movement of the lever is needed for the pads to enter in contact with the brake disc. The power multiplier factor then increases rapidly at the “pickup / tire” contact point, so that the lever travel is used to apply greater stopping power with greater control.
- Reach Adjust, The brake lever is equipped with a range adjustment mechanism. The distance between the handlebar grip and the handle can be adjusted to suit any hand size or type of cycling, as well as the individual preferences of the cyclist.
- I-SPEC EV creates a clean and optimized cabin for action that offers greater focus and flexibility for a wider range of cyclists.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Left levers work with front brake and right levers work with back brakes. Left gear shifters work with chain rings and right gear shifters work with cycling cassettes.

Hello, if it works perfectly, I didn´t even have to dismantle the caliper cable, I just took advantage of it from the caliper and the thread on the lever, which by the way, the lever adjustment system is super practical, not like I had it in the other one that I need an allen key to regulate it

The truth is that if it is compatible, the only thing that does not have the same effectiveness as with the original Shimano lever. In principle there would be no problems, just change the logo and the screws. I hope it helps you
