I use them for gravel and road outings and they go great with my Mavic Crossmax shoes. The cleat hooks very easily and unhooks just as simple. I have not had a problem in more than 2000 km that I carry with these pedals. To be used with normal shoes, they go very well thanks to their flat face, which is ideal for relaxing outings without having to use all the equipment.
