I bought this item to replace the bottom bracket of my old Alpinestars bicycle from the 90s. The original was an axle type with free bearings and cups. Purchase shipping, perfect communication. Excellent product, but if you install it on Samebike 20lvxd30 (ebike) as I did, you have to move the PAS to the left, because to the right, where it was originally mounted, this shimano has a burnished steel ring that prevents it from being inserted of the disc with magnets, furthermore the shaft, compared to the original one, has an external diameter of 1.5 mm larger, therefore the hole of the disc with magnets must be slightly enlarged.

A product of the quality that shimano has accustomed us to, I bought it to replace my old bottom bracket with ball bearings, and this one has sealed bearings, nothing to do with it, the left thread is a bit hard to put on due to the blue paint that it has to fix the thread once it is tightened, otherwise the bike is great not a creak since I put it on, I give 4 stars because the shipment by MRW took ONE WEEK even though it said 24/48 hours

Couldn’t get this bottom bracket anywhere in the UK. All the major retailers and online companies were out of stock and couldn’t even give a date for availability. BB-UN70 is currently a vintage model from the Deore range. It can be replaced by the UN-300 BSA by choosing identical measurements, although it is not from the same range.

Hello, I have a bottom bracket shell on which a classic removable bottom bracket is mounted. It is 70mm wide and 35mm in diameter (the latter is more difficult for me to find the exact measurement). Both threads go to the right (clockwise). Can I mount this type of square spindle? Could I mount a hollowtech axle? Thank you so much!

The 70 mm measurement is strange. Note that it must be measured between the bases of the thread excluding the edge that is outside the frame. A small error can make 70mm match the standard 68mm. As for the shaft, this model is 34.7 in diameter and corresponds to the vast majority of current shafts for several years. I would say that this axis is compatible like a hollow tech as long as it respects the 34.5 / 68 measurement. It is advisable to check the compatibility of the crank with the chosen axle

My groupset is a Shimano ty501 6/7/8 triplet...I know the box is 68mm. But I don´t get the spatial idea of the measurement of the length of the axle without disassembling it.... If someone knows which bottom bracket is suitable for this group so as not to have to disassemble it to measure it, I would greatly appreciate it....

Hi, the type of groupies doesn´t say anything about the length of your bottom Bracket. The diameter and correct length are engraved on the side of the bottom Bracket. To get the correct bottom bracket the best way forward is to disassemble the bottom bracket. This is an easy fix if you have the right tools and are a little bit technical skilled. Within 10 to 15 minutes you will be able to order the correct spare part without risking damage to your bike.
