- The new DEORE XT M8100 series includes innovative features such as the MICRO SPLINE sprocket cassette with 10-45T or 10-51T tooth development, 1x12 or 2x12 HOLLOWTECH II crankset, powerful 2-piston and 4-piston brakes, shifters Adjustable ISPEC-EV, 12-speed rear derailleur and high-speed derailleur, ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA fast-cooling rotors and complete wheel sets for XC or Enduro, all adjusted to the needs of today´s mountain bikers.
- Shift buttons: With lateral and rotational adjustment options, the ISPEC-EV shift buttons, which are carefully screwed to the brake lever, offer the solution to customize the pedaling sensation. The rubber padding and the two-way drive further enhance the changes. The right hand button (SL-M8100-IR) uses a multi-function function to act quickly on the gears and, for users using a 2x12 configuration, a left-hand lever lever (SL-M8100-IL) moves the front derailleur both up and down with precision. The DEORE XT M8100 push-buttons are also available in a version with clamping band. Weight of the buttons: SL-M8100-IR: 120 g, SL-M8100-IL: 73 g, SL-M8100-R: 117 g, SL-M8100-L: 78 g.

Technologies:
- RAPIDFIRE PLUS, Mountain bikers use RAPIDFIRE PLUS since 1985. RAPIDFIRE PLUS remains the first choice for a wide variety of cyclists, from XC competitors to freeriders. RAPIDFIRE PLUS is suitable for quick change, and allows the cyclist to reduce three gears at once. All RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifters, from SHIMANO DEORE to XTR, have 2WAY-RELEASE, which means that the change can be operated by pulling with the index finger or pressing with the thumb.
- This shift lever can be installed on the inner or outer side of the brake lever.
- MULTI RELEASE, The previous exchange systems made the change faster in one direction than in the other. Choosing between upper normal and lower normal always involved sacrificing the speed of the change in one direction. Now, with the new MULTIPLE CHANGE, the change of two pinions can be made with a single lever operation. The result: the fastest possible change in both directions regardless of the choice of the rear derailleur.
- 2WAY-RELEASE, The drive lever of the RAPIDFIRE PLUS diverters is usually called a trigger, because it works like a gun, by pressing the trigger. The drive lever of the new RAPIDFIRE PLUS diverters of the SHIMANO ALIVIO to XTR groups can be operated in the same way, but adds the possibility to activate a drive lever by pressing with the thumb.
- INSTANT RELEASE, The INSTANT RELEASE change replaces the two-stage click and release change we are used to. With the INSTANT RELEASE change, the cable is released as soon as the handle is operated, so that the gear change is carried out as quickly as possible. Whether an upward shift with a higher normal rear shift or a downward shift with a lower normal rearrange, a faster change is always a better change.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Left levers work with front brake and right levers work with back brakes. Left gear shifters work with chain rings and right gear shifters work with cycling cassettes.

This XT shifter have same features as XTR shifter, except it doesn't have 11-12 speed switch and included cable do not have polymer coating. Externals uses more plastic materials. Mechanism inside works fine. Functions are the same as 11 speed XT shifter, but this one have new i-spec EV version.
I-SPEC EV provides great adjustability

I think this is the Shimano 12S shifter to get. The SLX lacks the multi-shift capability, and the price difference of the XTR is not justified. The new I-SPEC EV mount provides a great range of adjustment to get the shifter exactly where you want it.

Hello, I don´t think it will work for you, you are mixing different brands, if what you want is to remove the Sram derailleur clamp, they sell Sram derailleur adapters for Shimano brake mode. I would look for that. Regards,
