Great cassette for a great price. The cassette consists of two spiders, which gives a fairly large gain in weight. The 11-36t range is sufficient for climbing quite steep mountains (with a 30t chainring).

Hello, with the GRX400 derailleur, I would like to replace the 11-34 cassette with an 11-36 (I saw on the Shimano docs that this is possible) but instead of mounting an original HG50 cassette, I would like to mount a Shimano Deore XT CS-M771-10 10s Cassette Question: is this possible? and is the chain the same? THANKS

It is possible, the chain I would put the HG95. SHIMANO GRX Rear Derailleur (10-speed) RD-RX400 SHIMANO GRX - Rear Derailleur - SHIMANO SHADOW RD+ - 10-speed, FEATURES: Quiet, seamless shifting on rough terrain Adjustable chain stabilizer prevents chain loosening and slippage SHIMANO SHADOW RD+ Smooth shifting and reliable on mixed surfaces. Change the ON/OFF position of the gimbal to suit the terrain. Clutch tension adjusted for gravel. Compatible with current road DUAL CONTROL LEVER 10s. Wide range front derailleur. Front difference T max.: 16T. Top Sprocket: Max. 11D/min. 11D. Bottom Sprocket: Max. 36D/min. 32D. Total capacity: 41D.

Yes the 10 vts chains are not too much of a difference, but with a cassette we put a new chain, because of wear

It´s possible. I can speak from my experience. I´m riding a Shimano grx 400 front derailleur, a CS771 10 speed 11/36 cassette, and Shimano Tiagra 2x10 shifters. It also works with a Sram 10 speed 11/36 PG 1170 or 1150 cassette. I hope that answered your question.

It´s appropriate. In fact I have placed it on my road bike and gravel bike. I have changed the chain, shimano hg. It works perfectly. On my gravel bike I have tiagra 2x10 shifters and a Shimano grx 400 2x10 front and rear derailleur. I hope it can serve you.
