- The MIPS system is a low-friction layer that allows a sliding motion of 10 to 15mm in all directions. Studies indicate that this reduces some of the rotational forces transmitted to the brain during angled impacts.

Really good helmet, looks nice and the cheapest one with MIPS that I could find. The only real gripe for me is that straps at the back are quite long, and since there's no way to adjust their length, they have some slack and the Trifix plastic parts are sitting lower than I would like.

Very happy with my helmet well constructed and not heavy. I cycled 60k and was happy with how it preformed on my head. The temperature was in the mid twenties so I did perspire a bit but not unduly so. I think most cyclists would be happy to wear it especially with the addition of the mips safety feature at this price point.

I bought this helmet to replace the previous one (a BELL helmet purchased less than a year ago from tradeinn) due to an accident. This helmet is actually much more comfortable, I hope it doesn't have the same "luck" as the previous helmet.
