An additional bonus, which is not listed in the description, is the presence of brake cables and a device for adjusting the rear derailleur. In the future, you can connect the front derailleur. Shift levers allow this. The kit does not include a mains power supply with a USB output, but this is not a problem.

12 speed only. Cannot be installed on Shimano hubs. Sram´s 12-speed cassette attaches to the XDR hub.

Yes there are 12 speed cassettes designed to fit Shimano HG 11 freehubs. SRAM makes a cheap NX one (meant only for their Eagle 12 chain), Rotor makes a very nice expensive one. The SRAM AXS flat-top chain that this groupset is designed for presents compatibility problems, but these can be addressed reasonably well and cheaply using the KMC X12 (second generation) chain.

Compatible with 33T. 36T is fine depending on the frame.

Works 100% well with max 33 teeth cassette, and about 95% sure with 36 teeth when you change the longer screw that pushes against the derailleur´s lug, i.e. the screw against the gear hanger, so that the derailleur´s sprockets move further away from the big cart. But I would only use a cassette with max 33 teeth, because then you get perfect functionality and I would change the crank set so that it has 3 - 4 teeth less.

SRAM and Shimano have different wire lengths. Shimano levers and SRAM calipers are acceptable, but SRAM levers and Shimano calipers are dangerous.

Flat top chain or 12s Eagle chain only, they have thicker rollers. You can use any crank but it needs to have a AXS compatible chainring, same reason.

Usually depends which country you are in. In Uk, left shift lever is used for the rear brake and the right shift lever is used for the front brake. Mainland Europe and US are opposite. You can, however, set the brakes however you prefer.
