The Stages Power meter for Shimano´s Ultegra R8000 crank set is available as Stages Power L (left-sided only), Stages Power LR (dual-sided) and Stages Power R (right-sided only) option.
- Stages Power L: Built on to a non-drive side Shimano Ultegra R8000 crank arm and is compatible with all frames that fit Shimano Hollowtech II cranks.
- Stages Power LR: Built on to a Shimano Ultegra R8000 crank set, placed on both the drive and non-drive side of the crank in order to independently measure a riders left and right legs.
- Stages Power R: Built on to a drive side Shimano Ultegra R8000 crank arm and is compatible with all frames that fit Shimano Hollowtech II cranks.

Active Temperature Compensation as standard equipment:
Consistency of measurement is the most important feature of a power meter. Stages Power was the first meter to make temperature compensation an automatic process ensuring accurate readings no matter the environmental conditions. ATC is the key reason a rider can trust data from Stages Power in all conditions.
Individual meter calibration for the most accurate results:
Each Stages Power meter is calibrated individually to ensure a +/- 1,5% accuracy level, which is an industry best for non-scientific power meters. Individual calibration means that you can trust the bi-lateral data produced by our system, as its a real measurement and not an estimation.
Stages Power R drive-side meter for added compatibility or upgrading an existing Stages Power L meter to Stages Power LR:
While not widespread there are some key bicycle models that are not compatibile with the non-drive crank arm based Stages Power meter because of interference with the power meter housing, for example Cervelos P5 and many bikes with chainstay mounted brake calipers. Stages Power R offers increased compatibility with these models as well as the ability to upgrade existing Stages Power L power meters to Stages Power LR (dual) meter systems.

+Product arrived within a reasonable time. +Product was in perfect condition +Works as expected, installs in minutes + Pairs quickly over Ant+ / Bluetooth in order to get onto Zwift which was the only reason for the purchase. -Stagespower app seems to take a stupidly long time to pair with the app to perform a zero reset. It pairs fine with Garmin and Zwift on the same phone so I guess it must be the app. The app is a necessary component of the power meter as it recalibrates the power meter so this is annoying. - Drops out fairly frequently from Zwift for periods of 2-3 seconds. It does this simultaneously from Zwift on iPad and Zwift Companion on iPhone so I assume it must be the power meter not the device. Mildly annoying. Would be more so if you were a hard core Zwift racer. +/- It's been a long time since I trained with power so I have no idea how accurate the unit is. On the whole a great investment especially at the new reduced 2020 price!
