Studying how pinch flats occur and how tire inserts interact with the tire and the rim, we moved material right where it needs to be, over and outside of the rim bead.
Features:
- Even though the new shape is shallower, the portion over the rim bead is increased by 30% to 60% depending on rim width, and together with a harder compound, rim hits are drastically reduced.
- The U shape on the top gives room for more air tuning, other than saving weight and thus allowing for a higher density compound.
- The super tight fitting is retained, because that’s an incredible bonus for added lateral stability and avoid tire burp.
Air channel:
- The air channel between insert and rim acts like a valve.
- During a shock, part of air molecules inside the tire move from the outer portion of the insert into the channel, causing a difference in pressure. As the insert is very tight on the rim, those molecules gets trapped and take a fraction of time longer to re-establish even pressure between the outer and inner portion.
- That means, in the real world, rolling resistance and tire rebound are reduced.
- These two features combined give what every rider is looking for: EFFICIENCY.
- There are two minor downsides: wether using mousse-specific or standard valves, air release is slightly slower due to the pressure difference between the two portions of the air volume.
- At first installation, we suggest not to put sealant from the valve.

- Superlight, the dominating device in the cross country world cup, designed around rims with minimum 25 mm internal width, up to 42 mm of overall width. Best suited for 2.20-2.40” tires.

Pros: improves filing on rough edges compared to round mousses, for being a light product it protects hits to the rim very well. On the front with a 30 channel and a 2.35 tire it is like having a shock absorber. Cons: in the event of a puncture the mousse does not have great support, I have tried better ones but much heavier, but at least this product avoids damaging the rims

Pros: • SuperLight • Very Easy to Install • Priced Well • Doesn't Absorb Tubeless Sealant • Allows to run slightly lower PSI than usual Cons: • Doesn't improve the ride quality • Doesn't allow to run completely flat Personally I would only use the Tubolight EVO SL for Pure XC riding or XC Races. The Vittoria Air-Liner Light weights the same, has all of the same pros, but does improve the ride quality and allows to run completely flat. Another great option, but slightly heavier would be the Rimpact Original.

I'm still testing the product. Actually not difficult to insert but it takes some practice. At the moment I find it good. I know for a fact that it doesn't hold latex so it's already good in itself. Let's hope for the continuation at the right time I'm satisfied

Light mousse, works well and is not too noticeable when rolling. Mounted on a trail bike, 30mm rim with 2.2 and 2.35 tires. To make it easy it is highly recommended to wet both the insert and the lips of the cover with soapy solution.

Excellent anti-pinch insert and above all to save the carbon rims. Very light weighed exactly 60 grams. I just drilled the center channel with a drill to connect the center channel of the Arica with the rest of the tire. Excellent insert, however, only for cross country or trail light.

Unlike many other products, this Tubolight EVO is an insert that has its lightness and therefore can be used with the usual covers. If you are looking for a light weight, resistant and performing “race” insert for your mountain bikes, with Tubolight you may have found what is right for you. It does not absorb latex, does not gain weight and does not stretch during use. The value for money is good when compared to other products on the market.
