Additional recommendations: 1° Vegélatex Effetto Mariposa sealant works very well in this chamber. 2° For long and steep descents on wheels with caliper brakes, I recommend adding, as additional security, a cotton rim tape such as Velox or Zéfal.

Just two of these latex tubes. When installed with 2 new Continental Grand Prix 5000 tires, rolling resistance was significantly reduced, super comfortable, my bike was faster. As for durability, time will tell but Vittoria has excellent reputation. Only annoying thing is the delivery time for Canada, I had to wait 4 weeks before delivery...

Excellent latex chambers, I think they are the cheapest on the market but they do their job very well. The only flaw is the valve without thread and nut: not being able to fix it to the rim, you have to be careful when attaching and detaching the pump so as not to rip the valve off!

I heard a lot that these chambers do not hold pressure well. However, the reality turned out to be different. On the recommendation of the tire manufacturer, I pump 7.5 bar rear wheel and 7.0 bar front. 24 hours after installation, the pressure dropped by 0.5 bar / And this is comparable to the butyl chambers that I used before. As for performance, I rely on the opinions and results of more accurate and continuous research conducted by experts.

Tubular performance

Vitorria latex tubes are my go-to tubes for comfort and performance. When paired with my Vittoria Corso 320tpi cotton tires; this combination will give you the closest ride quality to tubular tire setup. The combo rolls excellent and the grip you get when cornering is also excellent. You will have to take care when installing the tubes since it keeps less “shape” than butyl tubes. If using tubes sized for your tires; just add a couple of puffs of air using your mouth to shape up the tube. The other item you may need are valve extenders if you are running wheels over 35mm tall. The valve core on these tubes are removable so add an extender then screw the valve core into the extender and your good to go for what ever depth wheels you have. Another item to note is that once you pump these up and use them; if you do have to change tires or something else, the tubes are slightly larger in shape from stretching so you will have to be more careful when re-installing the tube back into the carcass of the tire. If you want to change the ride characteristics and performance quality of your bike; give cotton tires and these tubes a shot. You will love it!

I’ve only used Vittoria brand latex tubes and have been quite happy with them. As with all latex tubes they need to be pumped up more often but it’s a good trade off as they have better rolling resistance. I haven’t had a flat yet on one of these tubes which is a big positive. Bikeinn had the best price I could find anywhere!

My go-to inner tubes. I tried tubeless and found it a pain for no gain. The tire is heavier and after adding the weight of the "anti-puncture-milk", the weight advantage is next to nothing. Can't say I could feel any difference in rolling resistance either, especially compared to latex-tubed clinchers. I prefer latex over regular butyl inner tubes, for the suppleness and lower rolling resistance. Also, the greater flexibility latex seems to make flats less likely. I prefer Vittoria over other latex inner tubes for a couple of reasons: 1) The inner valve-core can be replaced, or taken out and remounted in a valve extender (for deeper section rims). 2) The light pink color is great. Punctures are easy to find (often shows as a black spot).

Faster than butyl tubes

Just installed the latex tubes and went out for a quick spin (~20km) and did two Strava segments (600m & 1000m). Feels like there's less rolling resistance compared to the butyl tubes that were in there before - less effort to spin up and maintain speed. On the sprints I did, it felt like I was able to sprint out of the saddle for longer without getting tired as quickly. One segment was a reclaimed one, so I've ridden it before. Can feel the watts savings and the price per tube on BikeInn is the best I found online. At only about twice the cost of a regular butyl tube, it's hard to beat compared to other stores charging about 5x or more. Hopefully they hold up in the long term. I've got 20mm presta valve extenders on the tubes to work with my 50mm carbon wheels.

I can definitely notice the lower rolling resistance. The loss in pressure was less than the hype implied maybe 10psi overnight though perhaps this gets worst with time. Never had tubeless but I think the pressure loss is greater but with more RR. Surprised latex tubes arent more popular.

It is one of the best updates I have made to my bike, and with very little money. I had tubeless on before, but my tires are very difficult to maintain with tubeless. So I have decided on latex cameras, and the truth is that I feel that they go faster than with tubeless. And I'm using the same Hutchinson tubeless as before. When you install normal covers there is sure to be another improvement. The only thing is that you have to be more careful when installing and take your time without haste and use talcum powder. Very good quality valve. Weight 85gr as the manufacturer says. Recommended!

Probably the best upgrade you can do to a road bike, considering the quality / price ratio. These inner tubes together with top tires are undoubtedly something that any road cyclist should consider investing in. Very satisfied. I recommend!! PS: the loss of air over time is not at all dramatic. They do lose air, but nothing special. They can be perfectly one week without the need to inflate.
