Pedals look fine, good value, however threading is too long for older vintage pedals and comes out the other side of pedal and catches on the chain. I need to get about 1.5 to 2 cm machined off or else fit a large washer between the pedal and the crank which will not look great. Not suitable for a real vintage bike unfortunately. If specs with dimensions available I could have avoided this issue. Product is cheap - you get what you pay for.

Mine are going great. The retro VP pedals shown are described as 9/16" x 20T (TPI), if you convert 9/16 to mm you get 0.5625mm.

Hi there, the older "French" pedal thread is 14 x 1.25mm or .55mm x 20.32 TPI (#threads), the VP retro pedals shown are described as 9/16" x 20T (TPI) - if you convert 9/16ths to mm you get .5625mm which is very close to .55mm above - only .01mm difference which would be well within manufacturing tolerance range +/-, so in my opinion these VP Retro pedals should work on your older French spec bike. Hope that helps.
