Built for bashing, whether on a gravity shred sled or fully loaded bikepacking rig. KOM Tough rims are extruded from top-tier alloy to provide utmost durability at a reasonable weight. Our legendary I-Beam construction has evolved to further reinforce the rim with dual support beams that provide increased strength and stiffness for the world’s most aggressive riders. Proven on the toughest tracks of the Enduro World Series, depended on for daily trail rides, and trusted while bikepacking in remote regions of the world, KOM Tough rims are available in 25, 29, 35, 40 and 45 mm widths to provide a burly rim for every usage and style of riding.
TCS 2.0:
- TCS 2.0 introduces a more robust, easily installed, and dependable tubeless system. A recessed channel along the center of TCS 2.0 rims allows installation of the all-new Solid Strip, which prevents tubeless tape from sagging at the spoke holes and results in a smooth, consistent interface between the tire and rim. Installation of the stout Solid Strip allows for more pliable, and easy to install, Flex Tape to provide the airtight seal needed for a tubeless system.
I-Beam:
- The I-Beam adds strength to the inner rim cavity. This distinctive support counteracts spoke loads and provides lateral rigidity.
4D drilling:
- The spoke holes are drilled at precise departure angle to align the spoke head and nipple with the hub flange, eliminating binding and lateral loading while also dispersing the load more evenly over a greater area. This prolongs the wheel’s lifespan and increases stability.

Light, stiff, beautiful and the price in relation to the quality is good, but I recommend getting wide-headed nipples when you start assembling the disc/take it to be assembled.

Good morning, I don´t see anywhere the number of holes for the spokes or the ERD that measures the rim to calculate the size of the spokes. Thanks and greetings

Hello. The WTB Kom tough i40 have 32 holes (indicated in their description). Regarding the length of the spokes, this will depend on the internal diameter of the rim and measurements of the hub to be used.
