I bought these brake calipers to replace my 2-piston SLX M7000 calipers. The installation and bleeding process was very simple, and they are compatible with M7000 brake levers. Compared to the 2 pistons, there is more power, but the difference is not huge. I now have more confidence that my bike will slow down faster when braking.

After having problems with some XTR pistons, I decided to skip the XTR and go for something more reasonable. Among many doubts that went through his head was the choice between XT and SLX. At the end for price I opted for SLX. I have regretted it, the difference in price that I found between each other, I should have opted for XT. However, the product complies.

Buy to replace my system's 2-piston calipers. Very simple installation and bleeding. Compared to the 2 pistons there is more power, but the difference is not huge. The biggest difference is the much less effort at the lever with the same braking power, allowing you to tire your hands less on long descents.

Excellent price and given that this shipped all the way from Europe, it was pretty good delivery time. It was sufficiently packaged to deliver unscathe to my porch. Most important, it's genuine Shimano. I'll be expecting this to modulate much better than the 2-piston SLX it will replace.

It is recommended that the levers be made from Deore so that they have more effectiveness in braking, but you could put it otherwise, so that the braking is not as effective as with a Shimano Deore or Shimano 7100 model.

Hello, this Shimano SLX caliper can be placed on both the front and rear brakes and you would need a Shimano adapter depending on the size of the disc you want to mount.
