The Stages Power meter for Shimano´s Ultegra R8000 crank set is available as Stages Power L (left-sided only), Stages Power LR (dual-sided) and Stages Power R (right-sided only) option.
Stages Power L:
- Built on to a non-drive side Shimano Ultegra R8000 crank arm and is compatible with all frames that fit Shimano Hollowtech II cranks.
Stages Power LR:
- Built on to a Shimano Ultegra R8000 crank set, placed on both the drive and non-drive side of the crank in order to independently measure a riders left and right legs.
Stages Power R:
- Built on to a drive side Shimano Ultegra R8000 crank arm and is compatible with all frames that fit Shimano Hollowtech II cranks.

Active Temperature Compensation as standard equipment:
- Consistency of measurement is the most important feature of a power meter. Stages Power was the first meter to make temperature compensation an automatic process ensuring accurate readings no matter the environmental conditions. ATC is the key reason a rider can trust data from Stages Power in all conditions.
Individual meter calibration for the most accurate results:
Stages Power R drive-side meter for added compatibility or upgrading an existing Stages Power L meter to Stages Power LR:
- While not widespread there are some key bicycle models that are not compatibile with the non-drive crank arm based Stages Power meter because of interference with the power meter housing, for example Cervelos P5 and many bikes with chainstay mounted brake calipers. Stages Power R offers increased compatibility with these models as well as the ability to upgrade existing Stages Power L power meters to Stages Power LR (dual) meter systems.
- Each Stages Power meter is calibrated individually to ensure a +/- 1,5% accuracy level, which is an industry best for non-scientific power meters. Individual calibration means that you can trust the bi-lateral data produced by our system, as its a real measurement and not an estimation.

Installation and setting were done smoothly. There is time and effort to calibrate with the app, but I think it's possible to do it because the temperature seems to be involved. I chose the higher delivery, but it arrived on schedule.

Works great. Power reported is comparable to my other power meters and it is nearly the same watts. Only difference I discovered because of LR feature - my right leg is a bit weaker. My another chainring power meter was reporting about weaker left leg. Also pedal smoothness for right leg reported by both pointing this leg has minor issues, means only with Stages LR power meter I can see surely it is right leg and not left. So I happy with the results. No connection issues and signal drops. No any other issues at all, just works and works flawlessly
