my question is, can I also put an MTB (mountain bike) in the stand? Does the tire (622-50) fit in?

Hello. It is not for mtb bike. A maxxis ardent 2.25 wheel...doesn´t even fit. And the maxxis Icon 2.20... neither. it is for thinner covers. That they are 2.0... would be ideal. In short...As for 622, it would fit...but 50...I think under pressure, or nothing. But it´s a nuisance.

Good afternoon, I won´t be able to tell you what the material is but I guarantee it´s good, it´s not heavy but it´s strong. I bought it to put a decoration bike in my wife´s store and it held up very well. I am very satisfied. If you want to buy 1 if you decide ok if you don´t buy one more and put one in the front and one in the back (just a suggestion) Good luck there
