Hi, I have to change the front rim of a Dutch type bike, but I don´t know whether to take - 28 CTB aluminum front wheel, 5/16 shaft on bearings with nuts. or - 28 CTB aluminum front wheel, 2/8 shaft on bearings with nuts. What should I check/measure on the old rim? Thanks Marco

5/16 should be the pin with provision for quick coupling, therefore cable inside. 2/8 solid pin with simple screw-on nut. I took the 2/8 which is a standardized one compatible with everything. I have a Holland style city bike from Vicini.

Hi, I had the same question when I was about to buy my wheel and searched many websites but could not find the answer. I assumed that the shaft measurement was the diameter of the shaft where the nut screws on and therefore bought the smaller one (2/8). It was too thick though so I had to file up the brackets on my front fork to get it in place. / Michael
