Castelli Alpha RoS Jacket

Alpha Ros is a waterproof jacket for road cycling that is manufactured under the RoS technology that means Rain or Shine (rain or sun), allowing benefits for both dry climates and the rainy ones. In each one the needs are different: if it is dry you look for breathability and in rainy conditions you seek protection against water.

The cycling clothing has Gore Windstopper fabric on the front and sleeves. It also has elastic panels with advanced structure that improve the adjustability of the sportswear on your body. It also includes Nano Flex Xtra Dry fabric on the back to protect you from the rain, as well as 3 rear pockets to store food and personal items with reflective panels under which they improve visibility in low natural light conditions

This men´s garment has a YKK Vislon zipper on the front that slides smoothly to open and close. The jacket does not include a hood.
The Castelli Alpha RoS Jersey is much much more than your typical cycling jersey. In fact its much much more than most peoples winter cycling jackets. We call it a jersey simply because it has the fit of a cycling jersey. But with a double layer front (each with its own zip) Windstopper construction and paret taped seams this is pretty much a jacket in all but name. Talking of names what or who is ROS?

RoS stands for Rain or Shine it is a label Castelli have introduced for a line of premium products that offer the absolute best compromise for mixed weather. And lets face it, most days in the UK especially in spring and autumn we arent riding in heavy prolonged rain we are riding in damp misty weather or through showers or just against the wind. The Castelli Alpha RoS Jersey is a major step forward from last years Alpha Jersey, it features all new fabrics to greatly increase its water repellency with a reduction in seams and seam sealing where required to further enhance its resistance to rain. We also see new waterproof zippers, pocket drainage and cross wrap over under wrist closures. All this to create a garment we call functional waterproofing, it might not keep every drop of rain out but it will leave you as comfortable warm and dry as possible in more situations than any other garment.

Is the Alpha ROS Jersey a light cycling jacket or a full feature heavy cycling jersey - now theirs a debate what we no for sure is that for Autumn and Spring (and milder Winter days) this is our go to upper layer.
