Castelli generally isn't cheap. But you do get what you pay for. The front of the jacket and sleeves are definitely wind-proof. The first test ride I did here at the start of the Irish winter saw me fly downhill into a 2 degree Celsius northerly wind and this performed perfectly. The heat is released out the back. I didn't use the vent zips but I imagine they will come in handy on milder days when climbing. It is a nice tight aero fit and it doesn't ride up thanks to the rubber strip under the hem.The rear pockets are decent. To make it absolutely perfect it should have a zipped key/money pocket. I aim to spread the cost over many winters of happy riding!
