The first thing I look for in this type of review is whether the product appears genuine or not, I can assure you that the unit I received absolutely is genuine. Great quality at a great price (compared to Australian sourced). Just be prepared to wait for it, The freight process to AUS took much longer than other Euro deliveries. Will definitely use Bikeinn again for non-time critical orders.

I decided that I no longer could tolerate using SRAM components on my MTB and switched back to my first love, Shimano. Which meant that I needed a microspline freehub body for my DT SWISS XMC 1200 rear hub. This fit perfectly and swapped in less than 5min.

A DT Swiss hub only works with DT branded hubs just like Bontrager can only work with its proprietary equipment.

No, with a caveat. The hub body is different for 142 vs 148, so this kit will work for both. You can buy a different end cap to make 142 fit on a 148 frame. You cannot make 148 work on a 142 frame.

This is exchangeable with other Freehub bodies (XD, Shimano/SRAM) for DT Swiss Ratchet hubs (240, 350). All of those freehub bodies are made by DT Swiss and there is no SLX. So I am guessing you are talking about SLX hub. If that is the case then no, this freehub body is not compatible.

Well, it is compatible with Ratchet hubs, so 350, 240, 180 etc, but not 370 which uses Pawl system instead of Ratchet system.

Yes, the part number is HWYABL00S2562S (upc 7613052282879). Should be compatible with all 240s (non-EXP) and 350 hubs. I believe the XM1700 uses 350 hubs.
