I will explain my experience by sensations and it will not fit everyone, but I hope it serves as a reference. Previously I have always ridden Maxxis Minion DHR II in 2.40" 3c Max Terra, as a front tire in Haro 30mm 27.5", which has always been very good for me. Now I have ridden this 2.50" Assegai with the characteristics of the previous one. I noticed in the first outing that it was more difficult for me to move the bike to ride. However, when you start going down paths and taking curves, the bike becomes more noble, steps that before you had to "tune up" more, now it gives you more security, just as when touching down after a jump it feels stable. Positive: Stability and grip in curves. Negative: "feeling". Less rolling. Yes, I would recommend the Buy if you do technical or very technical descents, it gives a feeling of stability and security.

Awesome tires but got nailed with duty charges so turns out to be no better deal than getting them at my local bike shop. So the length of time to deliver and no savings = two lost stars.
