Michelin Power Road Competition Line Aramid Protek 700C x 25 road tyre

Under the traditional name ´´Power´´, Michelin launches a whole range of new racing bike tires - for road, gravel, cyclocross and time trials. According to Michelin, the only thing that the new racing bike tires of the 2020 Power Series share with their predecessors is their name: the tires are completely new developments. And in the increasingly diverse racing bike market, they cover all facets and different applications of the sport: the completely revised range includes seven different models, aimed at recreational athletes, ambitious cyclists and competitors.

For the road: Michelin Power Road
The new Road Road tire from Michelin is available from January 2020 and is the core tire according to the manufacturer of the new Power series. It is designed to combine high security with a long service life and is available in one tubetype version with an inserted hose or as a tubeless ready version. There are also versions with blue and red side walls of the Tubetype folding tires in size 25-622.

MICHELIN POWER range 2020:
According to the manufacturer, the X-Race-Compound technology of the Michelin Power Road is optimized for racing:
the newest generation of materials has no two-component construction, but must nevertheless combine a lot of grip on wet and dry roads with efficiency. Michelin promises excellent lateral support and high speeds in turns, even on wet roads and at high speeds - thanks to the profile of the Power Road and the rubber compound based on silica.

The casing of the Tubetype folding tire is reinforced with an aramid Protek + technology with a very straight transverse structure, which, despite the low weight of the protective layer, should considerably reduce the risk of punctures. The tubeless ready versions are equipped with the so-called Air Proof technology for strength and optimum sealing, which must be further improved by the robust but light 4x120 TPI carcass.
