The unique, wedge-shaped PP-1.2 slides into a hydraulic disc brake caliper to preset the piston when replacing pads, aligning pads, and performing other service procedures. Makes hydraulic disc brake maintenance and repair faster and easier.
- The Park Tool PP-1.2 slides between the brake pads inside a caliper allowing the user to spread the pads and compress the pistons when servicing pads or wheels. The PP-1.2 expands the gap between the pads, making it easy to insert the disk between the pads when reinstalling a caliper or wheel. ´´Sure Grip´´ dual density handle provides a positive grip.
- The PP-1.2 fits Shimano® XTR® caliper bodies.

As soon as I received the piston expander for the bike's hydraulic brake, before the disc rubbed a little... It was removing the wheel and pads and pushing with the expander and when I put everything back, it didn't rub, so a 10 for this tool... Super recommended...

This Park Tool PP-2.1 is a great bit of kit, takes all the fuss out of maintaining my Sram Codes…….I think it’s bit pricey but great quality. I’ll not think twice when it comes to keeping my breaks in top top condition.
