The standard butyl inner tube has been replaced with TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), an advanced plastic material characterized by elasticity and mechanical strength. The result is an inner tube that can be up to 70% lighter, up to 50% more compact and as resistant against punctures as an equivalent tube made of butyl

Running these tubes in both winter & summer bikes, done many thousand miles so far, greatly improved rolling resistance, lightness and ease to fit, holds pressure for many rides, just one very small pin hole puncture when I hit a pothole, stuck a self adhesive patch on later to test it, works a treat no problems with deflation. Well worth the money.

They weigh nothing, an apparently high-quality finish and I have driven them for 200 km without a puncture. It's not much and I continue evaluating, but the truth is that the sensation is very good and noticeable vs. normal cameras. And I have lost 300g on the bike between the two tires and the spare one...

These tubes are as light as advertised, allowing for easier acceleration. I used them to do a couple very long climbs (20+ miles each) and they were comfortable and fast. Even while sitting idle in my wheels for over a month in the winter, the tubes held their pressure.

I love these tubes. I ordered 2 of them in early Dec. from Bikeinn ... they are still not here.. WTF!... I think the people that say delivery is quick and responsive on this site, must be in Europe ... Here in Canada delivery time is the slowest I have experienced from any offshore web sites. But I keep ordering from here as their prices are the best, but be prepared to wait a loooong time!

Relatively inexpensive for those who shed those extra grams. Fast shipping! A little more than a rim tape in thickness) seems larger in the photo. I installed it as an alternative to sealant in a tubeless rim. periodically lowers and regularly leaks sealant. Keep in mind one thing, the nipple is heavily seated on the sealant, you will have to make an effort to unscrew it! This applies to those who will put the extension under a high profile!

Hi, I purchased 3 Pirelli TPU tubes 42MM and interface between the metal Presta Valve and rubber stem cracked creating a small leak on 1 of them. Any suggestions about a possible repair. I've been using them for apx 1 month.

Il faudrait changer l´intérieur de la valve. S´il y a une fissure sur la tige de la valve, utiliser ( étandre ) un peu d´ipoxy sur la tige.

Actually, that shouldn´t be a problem, but if you put rim tape on the rim, you´re on the safe side. I´ve been driving with Aerotan hoses all year round for 3 years and have never had a defect. The only weak point with these hoses is the valve (plastic valve insert), regardless of the manufacturer.

You cannot use the same patches for butyl tubes, but there are special patches for TPU such as the tubolito patch kit.

Unfortunately u need to replace the entire tube. It’s the sacrifice u need to consider for using this light tube and for better rolling resistance. I use tubeless tires and carry these tubes in case I can’t repair my tubeless on the go and when puncture is too big for sealant. I don’t recommend using these as substitute for regular riding unless u are on a short race.
