The product is excellent. I was expecting OEM packaging in a bag, but I was surprised by the original Shimano box packaging. Greatly selected 46/30T gears that are ideal for gravel with occasional road use. Only small complaint about the longer delivery time, compared to the notice in the e-mail.

Installed to replace a Shimano 105 triple crankset, works perfectly in 2x10, without having changed the levers or the front derailleur for triple. You just need to adjust the inner and outer stop screws of the front derailleur.

I am convinced that the super compact chainset will take off, it certainly works for me as the, the 30t ring gives the ability to grind up the steepest of hills whilst sacrificing little in the way of the highest gear ratio, can't remember the last time I used 50x11 anyway. Bike Inn offered the best price I could find for the GRX600 and so I was expecting an OEM product, I was therefore very happy to find my chainset arrived in the proper Shimano box. The delivery time was a little on the long side, but I did receive an apology email and the tracking kept me informed of progress. All in all very happy with Bike Inn and my chainset.

i just got this for my gravel bike. it completes the grx drive train upgrade from the 105 it had. i opted for the grx 600-2 46/30t setup because i was really used to the double ring setup with the 105 my bike came with. being able to find that sweet spot for spinning was easier in a double than a single front chain ring setup. i went with the 46/30 because i found it suited my riding better than the compact. i'm not a powerful rider so having ,the smaller ring especially off road and punchy hills in cottage country were a better match. i did consider the 800-2 with the 48/31. but the price point on the 600-2 was too good to pass up and the 100gm weight penalty over the 800-2 was not a deal breaker for me.

You’ll certainly have to lower your front derailleur on your vertical frame tube. I do run this crankset with a 10-speed chain. I however doubt that shifting would be optimal using a 9-speed chain.

I have it working with 10v Tiagra, I don´t see why it can´t work with 105 11v. For the platters it makes no difference whether the current is 10v or 11v, the difference is only relevant in the cassette.

I am currently running it with a KMC 10-speed chain. Shifting is very smooth, no issues whatsoever. Now, the length of your rear derailleur cage will tell if it can handle the largest cogs of your 11-34t cassette.

It will be fine but because of the wider Q factor you do need to use the grx front derailleur with this crankset as a normal front derailleur won’t move outwards enough
