The original Shimano pads do not give surprises, buy 100% safe, after trying different models of different brands, some well-known and others of doubtful origin and in general very bad experiences (burned discs, lack of braking in the middle of technical descents etc. ) I don't play any more with the pads and the original Shimano pads work very well, without bad experiences and value for money they are not expensive.

Shimano quality at a reasonable price. You will most likely need to 'spread' your hydraulic brake pistons apart before installing new pads as the pad material is quite a bit thicker than the worn pads you're replacing. I tried using a large screwdriver as suggested in various blogs but no luck. My son brought over his Park Tool PP1.2 tool, worked like a charm. Didn't even need to adjust the calipers to correct for pad rubbing.
