Excellent quality, light and functional, easy to install. I would like to point out that it allows you to make small adjustments, such as shifting half a gear, so that the derailleur stops rubbing against the chain when there is something close to a chain crossing.

Are the brakes mechanical or hydraulic?

Good afternoon Interested in the left derailleur Tiagra 4703 3x10. Does it have hydraulic or mechanical (cable) brakes? I need mechanical ones to replace the 2x10 system.

This shifter is for mechanical brakes. You may also look for a double shifter which can be less expensive.

Yes you can, the pulling ratio of the triple Tiagra left shifter is the one required to operate the Shimano 105 triple derailleur (such as FD-5703).

I have a Shimano 105 3-chainring bike. I can´t find a product to replace the left brake/derailleur lever. Can the Tiagra 3-speed shifter replace the 105 shifter. Thank you for your answer P

This is fine. Also because you use this circuit less intensively in practice, the Tiagra is fine. Also in terms of looks you hardly see the difference with the right 105 shifter.

Yes, the Tiagra 4703 left shifter will work on a triple setup, but the double Tiagra 4700 left shifter won’t work on a double setup (different pulling ratio).

Dear We had the same problem with our son´s bicycle. Shimano 105 and tiagra are mutually compatible. This shifter is therefore a good alternative. Mvg Stijn
