Without any possible comparison with the DEORE box, the quality is really superior as well as the finish. Not to mention the weight which is lower. The rotation of the crankset is clearly more fluid. It is an excellent bottom bracket that I recommend but to be mounted with the appropriate lubricant for maximum performance.

The always anticipated shimano quality. I used it to replace the older generation sm-bb70. Despite that shimano is having, the mt800 as a replacement of this older one the tool needed to install the new BB is different due to differenet sizes of the external cups of the two BB. The older one is 43.5mm cup diameter and the new one is 40mm.

I purchased this product as a replacement for the Shimano Deore that I mounted previously. There is really no comparison. The weight is reduced, which allowed me to lighten a component of the MTB, also the smoothness is superior, so much so that it eliminated some unpleasant vibrations I had with the Deore as soon as it got dirty with mud, dirt or more simply with dust .
