SpeedBox 1.2 allows you to deactivate the speed limiter of your electric bike.

How does SpeedBox 1.2 for Bosch work?.

For the correct activation of all SpeedBox functions, it is necessary, after switching on the electric bike with the SpeedBox installed, to enter the menu and access the wheel circumference value.

The activation/deactivation of the tuning must always be done before cycling, not during the ride!.

To activate the SpeedBox 1.2 chip, briefly enable the WALK function on the control unit of the e-bike (press and hold the ´´-´´ button).

The display of the e-bike briefly shows 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) and from then on you can ride at a speed of 35 km/h (35 mph).

You can change the default speed limit to any limit (up to 99 km/h), but to minimise the risk of error codes, we recommend not to exceed 35 km/h (22 mph).

To deactivate the chip function, reactivate the WALK function (press and hold the ´´-´´ button).

The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the 25 km/h speed limit will be activated again.

The electric bike operates as it did before the chip was installed.

We also think of e-bikes that do not have a WALK function available or active.

In this case, you can activate or deactivate the tuning by switching twice between two modes, i.e.

by pressing the ´´- + + - +´´ buttons.

The maximum assistance speed can be changed again by switching the modes from TURBO mode down three levels and then up three levels:eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO.

The current speed limit will then be displayed.

To change the maximum speed, briefly press the WALK function or turn the wheel 360°.

Display 2.5 km/h on the screen corresponds to the limit 25 km/h, 2.5 corresponds to 25 km/h, 3.5 corresponds to 35 km/h etc.

The last displayed limit is saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.

After cycling, leave the electric bike on for a while until the SpeedBox completes the ´´countdown´´ process (the travel time will continue on the display until it stops and shows the correct distance travelled) to avoid detection of the SpeedBox setting on your e-bike.

Mounting.

To connect the SpeedBox chip to an electric bike we use coloured connectors equipped with a key for a proper connection, so the chip is really easy to install.

Removing the chip is as easy as installing it.

If you want SpeedBox on a new bike, you must first ride at least 10 km on the bike.

ONCE A SPEEDBOX IS INSTALLED ON YOUR E-BIKE, NEVER UPDATE THE SOFTWARE.

Speedbox recommends you not to update your E-bike, as the speedbox may give errors, otherwise speedbox will not be responsible for any incident.

In the case of updating it will be at your own risk.

Do not turn the connectors during connection!.

In short breaks, in order to continue riding smoothly, we recommend keeping one foot on the pedal so that the countdown does not start.

In case of a longer break, at least a partial countdown should be allowed.

After a long journey, the countdown may take several minutes.

Do not switch off the display until the countdown is finished.

Activating/deactivating the tuning should always be done before cycling, not during the ride.

We recommend not to exceed a speed of 35 km/h.

We do not recommend updating the software.
