I'm typically more used to Shimano equipment, so this is the first time I'm doing an install of a SRAM product. Great to have videos and manuals abundant online direct from them! Have put this, along with a Force Wide bottom bracket on my '94 Specialized Stumpjumper in hopes that FINALLY I can put bigger than 40T chainrings on there!

Is this made for the 142mm or 148mm boost standard?

This is a bottom bracket, 142mm and 148mm are wheel installation dimensions. Has nothing to do with each other. Bottom bracket width is important with this product.

Good . Yes it is compatible, the only thing that changes from a 142 to a 148 is the platter.

Can be use on both. Non-boost(142mm), use 6mm offset chainring. Boost(148mm), use 3mm offset chainring.
