Considering the New Year's workload of the postal service, the package was delivered very quickly—+2 days before the expected 5-day deadline. Installation is no problem. Connection with Garmin EDGE 130+ device no problems. However, the start of the operation was difficult because the battery attached to the power meter was almost dead. After replacing the battery with a new one, all problems disappeared. Just pay attention to it. In any case, the device's rating and delivery speed are maximally good.

Hello, Deore and 105 are mounted on a Shimano Hollowtech II axle. In theory, we can BUT!!!! However, the Q factor differs from the 105 road bike in 148mm, Deore MTB 178.5. I think the crank may be hooking the frame. Therefore, you will not be able to pedal. Even if you don´t touch the frame, the right and left cranks will be at different distances from the frame. It will be awkward.

As per Shimano compatibility chart (https://productinfo.shimano.com/download/pdf/com/2.7/en) this type of crankset (squaretype) is not compatible with Stages power meter, which is only compatible with Shimano Hollowtech II road drive side cranks. You can lookup at the pedal power meter options.

Hi, yes, I mounted it on 105 5800 (clearly aesthetically they are not the same), the meter is compatible with all Bluetooth smart and ANT devices (more or less all cycle computers from the last 10 years). If it can connect the speed and cadence sensors, the meter will almost certainly be compatible too

Hi, I can´t answer your question because this is my first power meter. I use them with a Shimano 105 7000 and a Garmin EDGE 130plus bike computer. Logically: if the Shimano crankset 5800 is for the HOLLOWTECH II connection, and it is. They will match the shaft of your bike. If your computer has an interface BLE and ANT +, then it should be compatible devices.

Hollowtech II cranks all the way from Claris and Sora through 105 to Dure Ace, you can attach and use any Hollowtech II left crank arm with a powermeter, except if the sora crank arm uses the octalink r350 variant. Then it would not be compatible. If you aren’t able to discern this, speak to someone at your local bike shop.

I have checked on line for compatablity and according to the compatibility reference the stages crank arm is compatible. I would assume that if this bike computer is relatively new the stages would definitely sync and provide power information. I have a Garmin 500 which was one of the first Garmin computers out there and it works seamlessly.

Yes,... you will receive the left hand crank arm which has the power meter built in. When you purchase the crank/power-meter you will notice that you will have to choose the length 165mm/170/172.5 etc. You will need to know what your current crank arm length is before purchasing the product. Also the crank should be installed in-accordance with the instructions as you will have to use a torque wrench. Also make sure you are installing this crank arm on a hollow tech system for splined compatible Shimano crank arm.

Yes. After changing my old crank out which had the Garmin magnet attached to the old crank. I conducted a test of the new crank on an indoor trainer (TACX NEO). Seeing if the power correlated to the trainers out put and testing if the cadence worked without the magnet mounted to the crank arm. It Does I must say the crank works well and the power is also accurate.I am very happy with this purchase.

All modern Shimano cranksets are compatible with each other. So I´ve installed this one on my bicycle with Shimano Sora 3503 crankset. You even can install it on MTB. Please, do not forget about cranks length. The only problem you can faced with is that: very old Shimano Tiagra cranksets were build for using with JIS bottom bracket. For example even Shimano Dura-Ace very old cranksets were build for JIS bottom bracket: FC-7410
