I spent a lot of time evaluating which power meter choice could be ideal. Pedals are extremely overpriced but I also didn´t want to get power data too far away from the true source of torque, so I went for crankarm.
I´ve just completed my first ride with this stages GEN3 and I´m delighted with the result! It´s everything I was hoping for.
Previous versions seemed to have some issues but with this one everything is perfect, no drops and very accurate power data.
Bikeinn was fast and the product arrived perfectly and as described.

Hello, yes it works very well with a single crank. Both are useful for more precision, but honestly it already works very well with just one sensor.

Good morning. it is not necessary to have both cranks to have a wat value, if you have only one crank the system multiplies the value of this by 2 assuming that the thrust on the two cranks is equal, in reality there is usually a small asymmetry in the thrust between right and left and therefore there is an approximation in this count. I only have one crank and I´m happy with that, for maximum precision you need to have both.

The product is a non drive side crank which is matt black to match the colour of the R8100 crankset. There is no connecting rod with this product as the connecting rod is attached to the drive side crank arm.

Yes, with this left connecting rod it is fine to measure the power, and the cheapest solution to have a power meter, the rest of the crankset is certainly not necessary. Make sure you order the correct length.
